The Kings League has announced the second edition of the Kings Cup for National Teams 2026, to be held in the Brazilian city of São Paulo from January 3 to 17. The tournament will feature 20 teams from around the world, including four Arab teams. The official announcement was made during a global press conference via Zoom, attended by Kings League founder and president Gerard Piqué, alongside Brazilian football legends Ronaldo Nazário and Kaká, both former World Cup winners. Gerard Piqué confirmed that the Kings Cup for National Teams is a key stop on the global league's calendar, noting that hosting the tournament in Brazil gives it an exceptional dimension, especially with the reigning champion playing on home soil. Piqué also expressed his admiration for the level shown by Arab teams in the previous edition and expects an even stronger presence and advanced competition from Arab teams in the 2026 Kings Cup. Ronaldo Nazário, president of the Kings Cup, stated that 'the passion of Brazilian football fans, combined with the tournament's innovative entertainment format, creates the perfect mix for the event's success.' He affirmed that the Kings Cup is a qualitative addition that complements traditional football and helps expand its global fan base. The Middle East and North Africa region will be represented by the Saudi national team, the Qatari team led by the famous YouTuber Abu Fella, the Algerian team led by influencer Hashemi in his first appearance within the Kings League system, and the Moroccan team led by Elias Malaki, who is returning to participate again. In addition, several global football stars will represent their teams as 'team leaders,' supporting them through media appearances and digital interaction. Key players include: Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Wesley Sneijder (Netherlands), Arturo Vidal (Chile), Neymar da Silva (Brazil), Sergio Agüero (Argentina), James Rodríguez (Colombia), Miguel Layún (Mexico), and Weston McKennie (USA). The tournament will be played in a group stage format (five groups of four teams each), followed by a Last Chance round, and then the knockout stage with eight teams. Most matches will be held at the Kings League Arena in Brazil, while the final will take place at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, which has a capacity of over 40,000 spectators and is one of the country's most prominent sports venues.
